MEPS successfully completes another winter school programme

The programme, which ran for three weeks in July, offered a range of workshops across several subjects.

POLOKWANE – MEPS successfully completed another winter school programme with most learners in attendance.

Principal Sandy Pitsi told Review the winter school programme is designed to extend educational opportunities beyond the regular school calendar and provides a platform for learners to further their academic interests during the winter break.

The programme, which ran for three weeks in July, offered a range of workshops across several subjects. Pitsi added that the dedication and enthusiasm displayed by the learners and faculty serve to highlight the school’s commitment to a continuous learning approach.

Gr 10 learners Bulelo Ndlovu, Thomas Maila, Dzumba Mulweli are part of the winter school classes.

“At MEPS we believe in nurturing a culture of continuous learning. The winter school programme is a testament to this philosophy, and the response we have received from the learners, teachers and parents has been extremely positive. We commend the learners for their dedication to their studies, even during the winter holiday.”

Gr 12 learner Ngoasheng Maribulla says winter school helps him improve in his school work.

Pitsi concluded that the school plans to continue the winter school programme in coming years, further enriching its educational offering and providing learners with additional opportunities for learning. “An extension of the winter school is the spring school programme that the school has already started planning for later in the year.”
