Zimbabwean national found stabbed in Seshego Zone 2

The motive for the murder of a Zimbabwean national who was found with stab wounds to the chest forms part of an investigation by the police in Seshego.

POLOKWANE – The police in Seshego have launched a manhunt for the suspect(s) involved in the murder of a Zimbabwean national whose lifeless body was found by a passerby on Monday (October 2).

Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said the male victim was stabbed to death with a sharp object and his body found on a street in Lepakeng, Seshego Zone 2.

“A resident was walking down the street near a tavern when she heard someone scream for assistance and investigated. The woman found a male body on the street, bleeding with a stab wound to the upper body and immediately informed the police and emergency services,” his statement read.

The victim was certified dead on the scene and preliminary investigations indicate the deceased was renting a room in the area at the time of his death.

“Police have also extended efforts to locate friends and relatives of the deceased,” Ledwaba said.
