‘Confidence activator’ Mapula makes her mark in various spheres

Mapula Legodi old Polokwane Observer that she has always believed in challenging the status quo, pushing boundaries and inspiring people to become the best version of themselves.

POLOKWANE – Known as ‘The Confidence Activator’ in Polokwane, Mapula Legodi is a multidimensional professional making an indelible mark in a variety of spheres.

As a certified life coach and former pageant queen who wears many hats as a woman of influence, she talked-the-talk and walked-the-walk in 2019 when she won the Mrs Polokwane 2020 competition.

“At the time, I weighed over 100kgs. My triumph at the pageants fortified my message of confidence to women battling with insecurities. This is the same period in which I introduced my skipping rope named ‘skippy the confidence activator’, which helped me lose weight. This restored my confidence.”

With her skipping ropes, Legodi challenges her followers on social media platforms to take on the challenge to also get their confidence back. She also started selling skipping ropes and business is booming.

“In the process, I transformed my body and this eventually led me into weight loss and mindset coaching. I also do coaching on nutrition,” she said.

Legodi, who is a wife and a mother to two boys, told Polokwane Observer that she has always believed in challenging the status quo, pushing boundaries and inspiring people to become the best version of themselves.

She’s an award winning speaker, life coach, public relations and brand specialist, entrepreneur, graphic designer, pastor, podcaster and radio show host. As an individual, adorned with a number of abilities, Legodi has more than a decade experience as a graphic designer. Besides her official duties as a servant of her country, she has taken it upon herself to empower her fellow citizens with the intention of awakening and inspiring them to rise above their challenges.

Mapula’s crafts have earned her a number of accolades.

She was nominated for the third Africa Coaching and Consulting Awards 2023 as community leader of the year, Africa leader of the year, coaching anchored organisation; and a nominee for Fabulous Women Awards 2023.

In 2022, she made it to the list of the Sunday World Unsung Heroes. She was named Limpopo Inspirational Woman of The Year in 2021; nominated in the Circle of Champions at the Limpopo Women Business Association of South Africa in 2021 and in 2020, she walked away with the Authentic Woman of the Year award by Women for Jesus.

She hosts virtual conversations for women called I_amMom every Tuesdays on WhatsApp with over 500 women members, and hosts a weekly radio show on Heita FM called The Confidence Plug. Together with her husband and author Neo, Legodi is a leader and pastor at Christ Expression-Many Membered Son, a church in the city.

Her latest offering is a book entitled, The Confidence Activator which encourages readers to commit to personal development in order to live up to their full potential and achieve maximum success.
