Temperatures in Polokwane to peak in the mid-30’s this week

Highs of 35ºC are expected this week with a daytime thundershower on Saturday, leaving the evening clear for any outdoor plans for the Rugby World Cup final.

POLOKWANE – Residents in the city are in for high temperatures and balmy conditions this week, according to AccuWeather’s forecast.

Maximum temperatures are expected in the low to mid thirties this week with the exception of Monday and Sunday that will be in the high twenties.

Tuesday will peak at a high of 35ºC with hot conditions and plenty of sunshine expected, while Wednesday and Thursday will peak at 30 and 31ºC respectively.

There is little to no chance of rain expected between Monday and Thursday.

Moving into the weekend, Friday will peak at 35ºC, while mostly sunny and hot conditions are expected on Saturday with a high of 34ºC and a 40% chance of showers in the afternoon.

AccuWeather predicts a 12% chance of thundershowers but none for the evening, giving outdoor plans for the Rugby World Cup final the go-ahead.

Sunday will see intervals of clouds and sunshine with a high of 29ºC and a 4% chance of rain.

Minimum temperatures will peak in the low to high teens this week.
