Bet-Shalom Grade 1s enjoy pizza day

Bet-Shalom Grade 1B learners had a fun-filled pizza-making experience at Panarottis Mall of the North, complete with gifts and big smiles.

POLOKWANE – Gr 1B learners from Bet-Shalom Christian School got a delightful taste of kitchen fun when they visited Panarottis at Mall of the North last Wednesday.

The outing turned into a lively culinary adventure as the young chefs rolled up their sleeves and got creative in the kitchen.

From kneading fresh dough to decorating their own pizzas with their favourite toppings, the restaurant buzzed with laughter, excited chatter, and the mouth-watering aroma of pizza in the making.

Wearing their little chef paper hats, which they coloured themselves, the learners thoroughly enjoyed the hands-on experience of making and baking their own meals.

Once the pizzas were ready, waiters collected the creations and carefully placed them on pizza-shaped planks before sliding them into the traditional brick oven for baking.

Accompanied by their teachers, the learners were guided and assisted throughout the session. Gr 1B teacher Mandy Brits shared her joy at witnessing the fun firsthand.

“As a teacher, seeing the smiles and excitement on my learners’ faces was heartwarming. Taking the whole class to make delicious pizzas together was a great experience. The warm welcome and excellent service from the Panarottis staff made it all the more special. The learners not only got to make and bake but also received appreciation gifts. “We’re very thankful to Panarottis for this unforgettable day,” she said.
