Cyclist to gear up for annual PPC Kremetart

Entries for Limpopo’s biggest annual cycling challenge, the PPC Kremetart Stage Race, close on Sunday and those still intending to enter should not delay.
The P & L Hardware Cycling Club of Louis Trichardt in conjunction with Kreme-tart Cycling, a Section 21 company, will host this popular race from 3 to 5 June.
Online entries can also be made at www.kremetartcycling.co.za. Registration and number collection can be done at Hoërskool Louis Trichardt on Friday from 12:00 to 20:00.
Louis Trichardt is usually turned upside down when hundreds of cyclists and their supporters from across the country descend on the town for the event.
The first set of cyclists be set off from the main arena at the Tourism Info Village next to the N1 on Saturday at 06:40. The first stage is a 53 km race over the challenging Soutpansberg to Waterpoort. From Waterpoort cyclists will race to Vivo over 48 km and then to Schoemansdal on the third stage over 52 km. The final stage from Schoemansdal to Louis Trichardt is a 22 km journey and promises big action as cyclists make their way to the finishing line.
Mountain bikers can look forward to yet another challenging event when the Total Mountain Bike Cross Country Olympic is hosted at the Komatiland Forestry Hanglip on Sunday.
The first race is set to start at 08:00 and prize giving scheduled for 12:30.
