Local cricket clubs are still battling it out in this season’s T20 league hoping to play their way through to the final to be hosted early next month.
The Limpopo Impala Cricket 2016/17 season started about three weeks ago with T20 league matches between teams from the Waterberg, Central and Letaba regions with the semi-finals scheduled for the end of the month.
Eagles Cricket Club A team challenged Al-Fatah Cricket Club at the Polokwane Cricket Club on Sunday and Al-Fatah won by 82 runs after achieving 187 runs for eight wickets compared to Eagles’ 105 runs for ten wickets.
Seshego Cricket Club struggled in their match against Eagles B team and lost by six wickets. Seshego managed to score 187/4 in twenty overs while Eagles improved on their score in only 19,4 overs.
Impala Cricket Club and Facilities Coordinator Sedibu Mohlaba invites cricket lovers to join the teams every Sunday at the Polokwane cricket fields to support them and be part of some exciting cricket action.
