POLOKWANE – The first Lexus Motors Golf Challenge was a huge success. A total of 84 golfers from the province competed in the tournament that was held at the Polokwane Golf Club last Wednesday.

Joe Mackays and Charles Mara were announced as the winners of the tournament.

The duo claimed the first spot after accumulating 46 points. They were followed by Raoul van Zyl and Keith Badenhorst in the second position with 46 points on a count-out.

Lexus Polokwane sales manager, Marthinus Beukes, announced that the tournament will be a monthly event held on the first Wednesday of the month.

“Most people that attended the challenge were businesspeople, but I am very happy that we had such a big turn-out of golfers in the province that came to support the challenge. We are looking forward to hosting another one,” said Beukes.

Apart from focusing more attention on the Lexus vehicles available, the challenge was also organised with the aim of giving back to the community and Lexus customers.
