Eksteen receives two honourary accolades
Local martial arts instructor, grandmaster (ninth Dan) Henri Eksteen, was recognised again for his outstanding contribution, untiring devotion to the promotion of the martial arts and culture within South Africa and the continent.
POLOKWANE – A local martial arts instructor, grandmaster (ninth Dan) Henri Eksteen, was recognised again for his outstanding contribution, untiring devotion to the promotion of the martial arts and culture within South Africa and the continent.
Eksteen was awarded a certificate of honour for his loyalty to the sport and lives of the people who practise the sport. According to him, the certificate served as a sign of respect.
“This award was awarded to me by the grandmaster (tenth Dan), R’guiba Boumediene of the International R’guiba Doshinki Academy within the country of Algeria.
I was also recently appointed as the first South African karate instructor ever to be on the board of directors within the International Masters Martial Arts Masters Association,” explained Eksteen.
He further said this honour was bestowed on him by grandmaster (10th Dan), Ted Gambordella of Dallas, Texas in the US.
He added that he was delighted to receive both accolades and this will motivate him even more to continue sharing his martial arts knowledge and skills with other people. He urged young people to chase their dreams and work hard until they achieve their goals.
