Kopano CEO invests in healthy future with soccer donation
Kopano Educare Toys and Equipment CEO, Johannes Meso, recently donated soccer kits and balls to the value of almost R45 000 to the teams in the Polokwane Masters League at Westenburg Stadium recently.
LIMPOPO – Meso, who is also the Lithuli Masters coach, said his donation of 18 soccer kits and six soccer balls, serves as a way to encourage players to continue their training and working hard to reach their goals rather than getting involved with substance abuse.
“With the donation we aim to encourage the players to keep fit and continue with their training.
Exercise is highly beneficial as it not only improves your physical health but also your mental health and abilities,” he said.
He said the players should set an example for others, especially the youth, that exercise and living a healthy lifestyle is essential, not only when you’re young but even as you get older.
Polokwane Masters League Secretary, Tshukudu Mamabolo, said he believes that with the support from Meso, the Masters League status will improve.
“As masters we indeed need exercise in our daily routines to improve our muscle strength.
Staying active keeps our muscles strong and our joints, tendons and ligaments flexible.
It allows more mobility and reduces the chance of injury. With this donation we can exercise and play soccer with pride,” Mamabolo said.
Lithuli Masters captain, Prince Maphanga, said the team greatly appreciated the donation and they plan to make everyone proud with the new kits.
