Gymstars top the table
The talented young gymnasts of Gymstars shone bright during the recent Limpopo Level Four Competition and the Rhythmic Competition.
POLOKWANE – The Level Four Competition was for gymnasts between the ages of 11 and 12 and all four Gymstars gymnasts who competed received Limpopo Colours for their outstanding performances.
Wihan Logtenberg took first place overall during the competition while Le Roux Marais took second place overall. JC Logtenberg placed third overall and Eduard de Lange placed fifth overall.
All the level four to six rhythmic gymnasts who took part in the Rhythmic Competition received Limpopo Colours following their stellar performances.
The gymnasts’ overall scores:
• Level four u/13:
Michaela Wood – first place.
Duane Welman – third place.
• Level six u/15:
Lize van Ryneveld – first place. Chanté Serfontein – second place.
• Level six over 15:
Ankia Myburgh – first place.Gymstars coach, Lelanie Logtenberg said she is excited for her gymnasts as they will go on to compete in the South African Gym Games taking place later this year.
“I am very proud. We will begin with preparations immediately. The SA Gym Games are set to take place in October in Cape Town and we want to be on top of our game when the time comes,” she said.
