The u/13 netball team of Northern Academy competed at the Curro Regional Sports Tournament last week in Centurion. POLOKWANE – Last week, learners from Northern Academy’s primary and secondary school competed in a Curro rugby and netball tournament at Curro Thatchfield in Centurion.
A handful of Northern Academy’s netball and rugby players were chosen for Curro regional teams, the Cubs, which will compete at the Curro national tournament in Durban in July.
The players who were picked for Cubs regional teams are: Nandi Maseko (u/15 netball), Temogo Bendlela (u/13 netball), Godwin Maluleke (u/15 rugby), Phodzo Nwedamutswu (u/15 rugby), Kgaogelo Thobakgale (u/15 rugby), Mehale Choeme (u/15 rugby), Pheto Mahlakoana (u/15 rugby) and Kwena Maphoto (u/18 rugby).
Academy teacher, Pleasure Khosa, was also appointed as one of the coaches for the regional Curro Cubs u/18 rugby team.
