u/15 players deliver on the cricket pitch
The u/15 cricket team of Tom Naudé Technical High School is the team to beat in the provincial league this season.
POLOKWANE – They followed up their 218 run victory over Northern Academy Secondary School, played on August 21, with another victory over Hoërskool Louis Trichardt’s u/15 team.
Both matches were played at Tom Naudé and in the weekend’s match, Louis Trichardt won the toss and decided to bowl first.
HP Robberts and Ian van der Merwe opened the batting for the Tommies. Dylan Nieuwenhuys was man of the match with 46 runs from 31 balls, while Dylan Maritz made 21 runs from 39 balls. Nieuwenhuys also had good bowling figures as he picked up two wickets for only 11 runs in his two overs.
Robberts took three wickets for 22 runs in his five overs while Sloan van Onselen took four wickets for 32 run in his five overs.
Tom Naudé scored 210 runs from 187 deliveries. Louis Trichardt were bowled out for 108 runs and the Tommies won by 102 runs.
