Lekwa Municipality mayor donates laptops

Thandeka, Retsebile, and Lindilanga Primary Schools in Sakhile benefit.

Lekwa Municipality Executive Mayor Sifiso Mngemezulu, accompanied by Juliet Khumalo, members of the Mayoral Committee, and local councillors, visited Thandeka, Retsebile, and Lindilanga Primary Schools in Sakhile on April 20 to hand over laptops and tablets to learners.

This initiative forms part of a broader programme aimed at restoring dignity and empowering learners through improved access to educational resources.

During the visit, Mngemezulu said the delegation also assessed the water supply at the schools and monitored the stability of a borehole system installed at one of the institutions to ensure a reliable water source for both learners and staff.

“We are committed to building communities through education, uplifting learners, and ensuring that schools are supported with the resources and infrastructure necessary for a better future,” said Mngemezulu.
