AmaZulu reinforce the ranks

Five new players have been added to the AmaZulu Squad

Ahead of the new season, AmaZulu have strengthened their playing squad with the addition of five players including experienced midfielder Philani Shange from KZN rivals Golden Arrows.

Shange joins on a two-year deal from cross-town rivals ‘Abafana besithende’ and brings with him a wealth of experience.

In the goalkeeping department, Siyabonga Mngoma has signed on a three-year deal from Thanda Royal Zulu.

“I’m happy to get another chance to play in the PSL, more especially because AmaZulu is a professional side with high expectations,” the 25 year old keeper told his club’s website.

Another new signing is that of Durban Warriors’ 23 year old striker, Mfanufuthi ‘Mbesuma’ Dlamini, as well as Tapelo Nyongo (19) from Cape Town based Old Mutual Academy. The final new face is 18 year old striker Darren Smith from Ajax Cape Town’s youth ranks.

Players that have been released from AmaZulu are Msekeli Mvalo, Pinehas Jakob and Lunga Zondi. Philani Zikalala and Njabulo Manqana’s contracts were not renewed.
