The Trade Route Mall Cricket Tournament that started almost two months ago was played over seven weeks. More than 32 teams battled it out on the pitch.
In the end it was Florida Cricket Club’s U/13 team versus Germiston, and Florida Cricket Club’s U/15 team versus Lenasia in the final at Lenasia Stadium.
The Under 13 team went on to win the tournament with the Under 15s taking second place as runners-up in the 2014 Trade Route Mall Tournament.
It was a close final for the Under 15s. Damian Plotini was the top runs scorer for the day on 59 runs and Dawid Oosthuizen was the bowler of the day for Florida with two wickets.
The club is proud of both their teams as Florida Cricket Club definitely dominated the tournament in both age categories.
