The Saturday match saw the academy’s U10 team take the field with enthusiasm and energy, facing off against First Kick FC in a spirited battle that had the grandstand buzzing – and even the parents coaching from then sidelines. Sunday’s soccer action kicked off with the U13s taking on Global Development in a nail-biting showdown and despite a valiant effort, the match ended 2–0 to Global Development.

However, the U15s showcased great determination, and they lit up the pitch against Gold City Royals. Flying Eagles flew out of the blocks with two early goals, dominating the first half 2–1. But the second half took a tough turn, with Gold City Royals snatching a comeback to win 3–2.

“We hit the crossbar twice and missed two golden chances, but the fight and flair were undeniable,” said Mpho.

Going forward, the team is back in training and is preparing for the next games set to take place this weekend (May 24–25).
