Young rider wins big at equestrian qualifiers

It was a weekend of victories, setting a promising start to the season.

Pinnacle College Ridge View learner Mia Zampieri secured a double victory at the Gauteng Johannesburg regional qualifiers on February 14 and 15.

Competing under the banner of the South African National Equestrian Schools Association (SANESA), Mia and her horse, Golden Pegasus, delivered an impressive performance at the Gauteng Johannesburg regional qualifiers held at Kyalami Park Club. They won both the In-Hand Utility Level 1 and Working Riding Level 3 classes.

It was their first time competing in the greater Gauteng Johannesburg region, making the achievement all the more notable. The pair demonstrated skill and composure throughout a demanding schedule.

According to the school’s head of marketing, Joanita Boshoff, the double victory reflects hard work and consistent practice, and sets a positive tone for the season ahead.

Teachers, classmates and supporters at Pinnacle College Ridge View have congratulated Mia and look forward to her upcoming competitions.
