TYM crosses the river to help addicts

SEBOKENG. – The Toughest Young Minds (TYM) reached outside their jurisdiction on Friday to help young addicts.

Fezile Dabi District Municipality found that 11 young people from Deneysville had recently died from using nyaope.Grace Maphota, a community leader says they do not know where to turn to for help.

“We heard about TYM on a local radio station and decided to knock on their door,” said Maphota.Speaking to TYM Managing Director, Mzwakhe Msibi told Sedibeng Ster they received a call from these young people who were looking for help after 11 of their friends died from using nyaope.
“We had to make an exception and reach beyond the borders of our jurisdiction,” said Msibi. The group from Refeng Kgotso (Deneysville) comes to the centre every day to receive their medication.
