Emfuleni residents urged to vote

"Once again, we are provided with the opportunity to have our voices heard. Democratic dispensation, the will of the people since 1994 gave every citizen a right to vote. It is a right most gave their lives to achieve and bring to reality.

VAAL TRIANGLE. – The Mayor of Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM), Gift Moerane has urged residents of Emfuleni to go out in numbers and cast their votes for the government they want on Wednesday.

“Once again, we are provided with the opportunity to have our voices heard. Democratic dispensation, the will of the people since 1994 gave every citizen a right to vote. It is a right most gave their lives to achieve and bring to reality.

“Government touches everyone’s lives in many respect and through a vote, we have a qualitative voice in choosing a government of our choice. Any democratic government should handle and address the various issues that affect our day to day lives.”

Moerane stated that residents should make their mark and vote for building a non-sexists, non-racial, Democratic and United South Africa.

“I appeal to you all to cast your votes on the 08th May and choose a government you want. May we continue to advance and strengthen the Parliament of the People by having a safe, free and fair elections. As you cast your vote, I wish you strength, courage and wisdom in electing a caring government that will grow our country.” Moerane concludes.
