Dog owner attacks and stabs his own dogs with a sharp instrument

Read this horrifying report by SPCA Roodepoort Krugersdorp:

April 27 2019 started very badly for SPCA Inspector Allen.

He received an emergency call at 7:20 am from ER24.

An owner of three dogs had attacked his own dogs with a knife in the early hours of the morning.

Inspector Allen was not prepared for what he found.

There was not one room in the house which did not have blood on the walls and floors, even the beds in the rooms had pools of blood on them.
Inspector Allen could clearly see how the dogs had tried to run away from their owner as he was attacking them.
There were trails of blood from one room to the next. It appears that the dogs had cringed in corners of rooms as pools of blood were seen in the corners.

A large Boerboel male was found dead, lying in a pool of blood outside the house.
It appears that his owner had stabbed him a number of times with what we presume was a skrew driver in his chest area.( The carcass has been sent for a postmortem, to determine exactly how the Boerboel had died).

A second Boerboel had also been attacked by his owner, thankfully not fatally. The dog was rushed to a veterinarian for emergency treatment to save his life.

A third dog, a Basset, was removed from the property unharmed.

The owner was arrested and a case of animal cruelty has been opened against him by Inspector Allen.

To ensure our animal cruelty cases are successfully prosecuted we have to provide evidence of abuse.
The evidence is obtained from veterinarians, animal behaviorists, postmortems, pathology reports, photographic evidence just to mention a few.

Once the animals have been rescued from their abusive conditions the injured, diseased, emotionally distraught and physically sick animals are treated and cared for by our hospital and Inspectorate staff.

It is the SPCA’s responsibility to provides the best emotional as well as physical care to the animals we confiscate and take into our care.

Providing this care costs the SPCA money.
SPCA’s are not government funded, we rely on public funding.

Without your donations and support we would not be able to be the voice for the many abused, neglected, tortured, maimed and tormented animals.

PLEASE WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
