Ninkies nominated for the MAMA Awards

“I didn't win the first MAMA award, but it has motivated me to realise that hard work pays and encourages me to always do my best, as I don't know who is watching or listening."

SEBOKENG.- Thetha FM’s Mid-Morning Avenue show presenter, Nomsa Ninkies, is a nominee in the category of ‘The Best Radio Presenter’ in the 7th Mzansi Arts and Media Awards (MAMA).

The show is hosted by Ninkies and Mimizana Malindi, weekdays from 09:00-12-00.

Ninkies’ road in broadcasting started back in 2007 at VUT FM. This is her second nomination under the MAMA Awards category “Best Radio Presenter”.

In 2025, she was a Community Radio Awards winner under Best Mid-morning show.

“I didn’t win the first MAMA award, but it has motivated me to realise that hard work pays and encourages me to always do my best, as I don’t know who is watching or listening. Radio is my life, and I touch many souls every day behind the mic. It is also the best part of my life as those three hours behind the mic keep me sane as well and heal many parts of my life that I sometimes don’t even realise.”

Besides radio, Nomsa Ninkies is also a Rnb and soul DJ and Master of Ceremonies (MC).
