We have a responsibility to create awareness about GBV within the community.
The winners received medals and floating trophies for their efforts in this annual tournament, which takes place at this time every year. The main purpose of the event was to raise awareness about gender-based violence (GBV) happening across the country, which includes the recent multiple murders of women in Ekurhuleni.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Lerato Mogale said that as a community football club, they have a responsibility to create awareness about GBV within the community. She said that football plays a huge role in society when it comes to issues affecting women and children.
She hailed the tournament as a great success, saying those who attended the tournament went home with a positive mindset.

“We want to thank all the people who made this event possible, especially those who helped with donations in the form of trophies and medals. As Real Toyo FC, we will continue to be close to our community and spread the message about GBV,” she told Sedibeng Ster Sport.
