Women’s Month remembered by 21 Club

Guest speaker was local girl, Adele Benvie, a former head girl of Kingsway High School and now CEO of The Success Company.

THE August 21 Club luncheon ‘Celebrating the strength of woman’ was enjoyed by a very good turnout of members and guests.

Red roses on black and gold paid tribute to women everywhere in their special month.

Guest speaker was local girl, Adele Benvie, a former head girl of Kingsway High School and now CEO of The Success Company. Her inspiring talk was titled ‘From strength to success’.

Adele reminded her attentive audience that each person is blessed with the gift of things they are naturally good at – their strengths. The crux of Adele’s message was that no matter what stage you are in your life, those around you can benefit from your gift, in your home, at work or in the community. If we all operate in our unique area of strength, we strengthen each other. Our differences strengthen us, they don’t divide us.

Adele outlined interesting examples of how maximum success can be achieved when our strengths become the basis of our endeavours and are aligned with our hopes and goals.

In addition to the table lucky draws, Lynn Bass, 21 Club member and holistic therapist, donated two vouchers which were won by Helen Skinner and Jenny Coetzee. Viv Jarratt was the lucky winner of Hannelore Wagner’s free facial.

Sincere condolences were conveyed to Sue Johnson, Penny Saville and Debbie Anderson who recently lost loved ones.

The next luncheon, ‘Put a spring in your step’ will be held on Thursday, 25 September (since Wednesday is a public holiday) in Lords and Legends conference room at noon for 12.30pm. The guest speaker is Lynn Bass. Green, yellow and orange will welcome Spring.

Members are reminded that confirmation of intention to attend or not, and names of guests, must be received by Lyn on 082-572-1328 or 031-903-4026 or Golda on 083-633-6338 or 031-916-7001 no later than Friday, 19 September. Guests will be accommodated if there is room.
