Donate items towards mass-ride fundraiser for Operation Bobbi Bear
Donations obtained through the mass-ride fundraiser will enable the human rights organisation to provide care and aid to the children in its care.
THE Amanzimtoti community is encouraged to join or donate towards a mass-ride fundraiser in support of Operation Bobbi Bear on June 15.
The event, organised by Toti Community Assist (TCA), CCPO – Crime, and DylTech, will see first responders departing from the Toti CBD at 10:00 and making their way to the home to drop off donated items that are on Bobbi Bear’s wish list.

The items include anything a house with children would need: food, clothing for all ages, toiletries, household cleaning supplies, financial assistance (donations or grocery vouchers) and medical or basic first-aid supplies. Eureka Olivier, director of the human rights organisation, said all victims only arrive with what they are wearing.

“Their clothes are sent to forensics, so we are always in need of different sizes. Our youngest rape victim was two weeks old, and our oldest was 94 years old. I know the wish list is long, but anything is truly appreciated, especially food,” she said, adding that she is immensely grateful to those who have organised this fundraiser.
Donations can be dropped off at one of the designated locations: Security Superstore on Rockview Road, The Fishing Hole in Winklespruit, or the CCPO office on Riverside Road.
The only rule for the event is that no photographs may be taken of the children to protect their privacy.
For more information, contact Dalene Heath (TCA) on 078 215 4797 or Romè Momberg (CCPO) on 072 888 7436. Alternatively, monetary donations can be made into the following bank account: Bobbi Bear Fund, FNB account number: 62018619471, Branch code: 250655.
