Drug bust update: Accused appear in Amanzimtoti Court
Collen Govender, Neil Govender, and Daniel Reddy, all from Chatsworth, were arrested on July 28 by the provincial Drugs and Firearms Unit.
THE three men who were arrested in connection with drug dealing in Kingsburgh made their first appearance in the Amanzimtoti Magistrate’s Court on July 29.

Collen Govender (30), Neil Govender (34), and Daniel Reddy (20), who are all from Chatsworth, were arrested on July 28 by the provincial Drugs and Firearms Unit after they were allegedly found processing and packaging rock cocaine with a street value of around R1m from an apartment in a holiday resort.
At Amanzimtoti Magistrate’s Court, the magistrate refused the media’s request to photograph the accused, saying it was for “safety reasons”.
After a brief session, the case was postponed to August 3 when the men are expected back in court to apply for bail.
