Hearts of Toti begins back-to-school drive
The non-profit organisation needs help with stationery and school uniforms for children in need.
NON-PROFIT organisation Hearts of Toti appeals to the community for assistance and donations of stationery and school uniforms ahead of the new school year.
Hearts of Toti founders, Shanay Kapp and Alta Erasmus, said the majority of the children in the area attend Kuswag Skool, with others at Warner Beach Preparatory, Amanzimtoti Primary, Amanzimtoti High and Kingsway High schools.

“Please remember us when throwing out last year’s uniforms,” said Kapp.
They have 36 children in total needing help with stationery, such as books, pens, pencils, crayons, erasers, calculators and so forth.
“Osmans, in Durban, sell quality stationery at very affordable prices. And to top it off, we get a massive discount from them when buying in bulk,” said Kapp.

They will be posting the receipts, together with the stationery bought, on their respective WhatsApp and Facebook platforms as proof of purchase.
They are hoping to hand out the back-to-school items on January 12. However, it will only be possible with donations and assistance from the community. “So, we are humbly coming to you, asking for help on this one,” said Kapp.
