Local tattoo artist hosts fundraiser for young cancer warrior

Whether it is your first tattoo, or just another for your collection, consider being a part of a local tattoo artist's fundraiser.

AN ATHLONE Park tattoo artist will be inking for a cause all day at his tattoo parlour in Athlone Park, on June 28 and 29 as part of a tattoo fundraising marathon in support of Liané Rossouw’s cancer treatment.

Tattoo artist Gerald du Randt’s proceeds across the fundraiser will go directly towards little Liané’s medical fund. Pre-designed 5×5 tattoos will be R500, all of which will contribute toward life altering stem cell treatment.

Liané, who needs stem cell treatment to help her lead a better quality of life, has valiantly fought off cancer, but has subsequently been diagnosed with epilepsy, cerebral palsy and scoliosis.

“Whether you’re getting your first tattoo or adding to your collection, every drop of ink brings us one step closer to her recovery. Help us spread the word and bring your friends along. Let us come together as a community to show love, support and solidarity,” said Du Randt.
