Matric examination countdown kicks off in Amanzimtoti

The Class of 2025 will write their final exams from October 21 to November 27.

THE Umbumbulu Circuit Management Centre (CMC) marked 100 days to the start of the matric exams with an event at Amanzimtoti High School on July 11. The Class of 2025 will write their final exams from October 21 to November 27.

The KZN Department of Education’s (DOE) chief education specialist for the Umbumbulu CMC, Themba Moloi, urged learners to stay focused, highlighting last year’s 91% pass rate across the circuit’s 38 high schools, with eight achieving 100%.

“We need collective effort from learners, teachers, parents and communities to ensure success,” said Moloi.
He also called on communities to help keep learners safe during study hours.

Umlazi district’s KZN DOE director, Busi Mahlambi, encouraged learners to make the most of the final stretch.
“Excellence is achieved by choice, not by chance,” said Mahlambi.
