Taking place in Amanzimtoti on October 26, the race, which is also a Comrades and Two Oceans marathons qualifier, has announced four experienced pacers who will guide runners on the day. Umar Randeree will be the 10km race pacer, Njabulo Zuma will be the 21.1km pacer, and Simphiwe ‘Mshishi’ Mngwengwe and Sbo Zindela will be the 42.2km race pacers.

This year’s marathon also introduces live streaming in partnership with Sapphire Coast Media, giving family, friends, and supporters the chance to experience the excitement of race day in real time.

Dore Uys of the Amanzimtoti Athletics Club expressed pride in how the annual race continues to grow.

“The addition of the KZNA Championship and live streaming elevates the Sapphire Coast Marathon to a new level, while our dedicated pacers and community partnerships make it a truly inclusive and memorable experience for every runner,” said Uys.
