Thrifty solution for NPO Hearts of Toti

With dwindling food donations and no shortage of mouths to feed, Hearts of Toti has started an online thrift shop as a means to raise funds.

WHILE the requests for much-needed assistance by the many families supported by Hearts of Toti remain steady, food donations to the NPO are dwindling and a solution is needed quickly.

In comes an idea for founder, Alta Erasmus and co, to start an online thrift shop. The new venture came about after the NPO was only able to hand out emergency hampers to nine families in need.

“We understand that the community is struggling with donors fatigue and that there are so many worthy causes out there in the Amanzimtoti and surrounding community. This is why we came up with the thrift shop. It will serve as a source of income to try and raise some vital funds for food for our local families in need,” said Erasmus.

In order to keep everything transparent and trustworthy, the Hearts of Toti bank account will be used for the thrift shop.

If you would like to support the NPO in its new and exciting venture, share word of the online thrift shop with family and friends, or anyone looking for a good bargain, contact Erasmus on 072 801 0746 for more information.
