Ringball enthusiasts come together in Amanzimtoti

Played at Amanzimtoti High School's netball courts and hosted by the KZN Ringball District, a total of six games were played from 09:00 to 13:00.

ON March 28, ringball took centre stage in Amanzimtoti when three mixed-gender teams took to the court for some fast-paced action during a sports fun day.

Played at Amanzimtoti High School’s netball courts and hosted by the KZN Ringball District, a total of six games were played from 09:00 to 13:00. Newcomers were welcomed, and no experience was required to join in the fun, as the coaches were on hand to guide the newbies. At the end, Team Lego was declared the winning team.

Ringball is a traditional South African non-contact team sport developed in the early 1900s, similar to netball and basketball. Teams of nine players pass a ball across three designated court zones, aiming to throw it through a ring 4.5m away to score two or three points.
