Community bands together to support shot officer

After a reaction officer was shot in the head while attending to an alarm activation, the Amanzimtoti community is preparing a "Get well soon" hamper for him.

IN APPRECIATION of the ET Rapid Response officer who was shot on June 6 when responding to an alarm activation in Illovo, community members have responded by putting together a “Get well soon” hamper for him.

The officer was shot in the head after suspects opened fire on his response vehicle. He is currently undergoing further tests and examination.

If anyone has anything to contribute to the hamper, items can be dropped off at ET Rapid Response’s offices on 4 Katela Lane, Amanzimtoti, on Thursday morning (July 9). Mark the packet with “Xolise”.
