Romy Wenzel, of Tidy Towns Amanzimtoti and Sapphire Coast Tourism, explained that with nearly 40 bags full of litter collected, the small group of volunteers made a big impact, all in the span of less than two hours.

The clean-up action focused on the area around the staircase connecting Carlyle Road and Beach Road. Following the clean-up, eThekwini Cleansing and Solid Waste worked hand in hand with Tidy Towns to collect the refuse bags.
