New committee for Buccs

By EC

THE new committee elected at Buccaneers Fishing Club is: Charles (chairman), Eddie (competition secretary), Raymond (treasurer) and Rod (secretary).

Bernard has offered to handle sales of meat tickets. Allison of Buccaneers Tavern and Bistro has offered her help with the meat ticket sales. Thanks to both of them. The club thanks the outgoing committee for their hard work and commitment. In the fishing competition on Sunday, 26 January, 15 members fished, including two juniors. Edible fish caught were two dusky kobs by Brian, weighing 600g and 700g and a 2.2kg pompano by Dennis. Inedibles were caught by Brian with a lesser of 600g, Gary with a brown skate of 2.2kg and Mike’s 4.6kg blackfin. Well done. Details and bookings for the North Coast trip will be finalised this week.

Congratulations to Dennis and Anke on the birth of their baby boy weighing in at 3.1kg. Tight lines until the next competition on 8 and 9 February.
