Postponed fishing ski club competition rescheduled

Briefing will be held at Winklespruit Lifesaving Clubhouse on Friday, 29 May at 7pm but the doors will be open from 5.30pm.

UNFORTUNATELY, due to unfavourable weather forecasts and potentially risky seas for paddlers, the Winkle Fishing Ski Club annual competition had to be postponed on two occasions.

The next available date that has been chosen is Saturday, 30 May which at this stage looks ‘fishable’.

Should this forecast change and become unfavourable, the competition will go ahead on Sunday, 31 May. Prize-giving will be at 4pm on the day of the competition and members of the public are welcome to join in the festivities while enjoying a burger or a refreshment and listening to the stories of the ‘ones that got away’.

Briefing will be held at Winklespruit Lifesaving Clubhouse on Friday, 29 May at 7pm but the doors will be open from 5.30pm. This will also give those teams that have not yet registered the opportunity to do so and to collect their goodie bags. Should you still be in a position where you are not part of a four-member team, or are short a member or two, contact Brad on 082-891-5728 or a committee member on the night and they will assist in connecting you with each other.

Tight lines to all participants.
