Mike is Winkle BC men’s single champion

THE winners of the men’s Clearwater Spur 2-4-2 at Winklespruit Bowling Club was Owen Turner and Gustav Somers.
Second session went to Gerald Chalder-Royle and Doug Walton.
Coy Schrauwen was the winner of the 100 board.
Mike Kruger is Winklespruit Bowling Club’s men’s singles champion for 2016 with Brian Bodley runner-up. In the semi final of the women’s singles championship, Sylveigh Ananiadis beat Elaine Crithlow. Errol and Sharon Ann were victorious over Cathy Du Plooy and Freddie Hetterscheidt in the mixed pairs.
The eighth and ninth rounds of the men’s and women’s interclub league were played on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. There were mixed results from both teams.
Brian Farmer won the attendance draw on Friday evening. Due to him not being present it will be a carry over. Mike and Di Kruger provided the Friday evening meal, which was enjoyed by all present.

There will be social bowls on Wednesday and Friday afternoon, with the winter starting time of 1.45pm for 2pm. Members should note the club competitions on the competition board.
