Gilpins ace Tinman 10km race
Mandela Legacy Challenge (5km and 10km) will be held on Sunday, 30 July
AMANZIMTOTI Athletics Club participated in the Tinman 10km, Mathews Meyiwa half marathon and Dafco trail run on Sunday, 23 July.
Tinman 10km run: A Gilpin 1.00.29, R Gilpin 1.01.37.
Mathews Meyiwa half marathon (21.1km): M Kapp 1.55.17, C Warren 2.00.20, R Warren 2.06.47, M Mzimela 2.09.51.
Dafco trail run 6km: E Grobler 29.00, J Bruce 30.00.
Dafco trail run 8km: J Kruger 1.07.00.
Upcoming race: The Mandela Legacy Challenge (5km and 10km) will be held on Sunday, 30 July at the Rydalvale Sports Grounds, Phoenix, starting at 8am.
Thirty three athletes participated in time trials on Wednesday 19 July.

Note that reflective belts are mandatory for time trials.
Weekly time trials are on Wednesdays at 5.30pm for walkers and 6pm for runners (both over 4km or 8km). Visitors are welcome and should meet at the clubhouse at Hutchison Park. On Saturdays there is an 11km run and walk from the clubhouse at 5.30am for walkers and 6am for runners. Tea, coffee and biscuits are served afterwards.
