CONGRATULATIONS to Amanzimtoti Bowling Club’s John Marsh and Ian Mills who had a good win over Peter Shepard and Ian Shearer in the long-awaited 2017 final of the men’s nominated pairs.

Well done Peter and Ian on being worthy runners-up.

The Big Chicks was won by Ian and Marion Crouch, Mike Roberts and Barry Bush; runners-up were Jeanne Alexander, Mark Brodie, Michelle Pitchers and Dave McMillan; and the second session went to Alf Bingham, Barry Buckland, Chris van der Westhuizen and Maggie Robertson. Thanks to Dave Gardner and Alan McGregor as well as bar and kitchen staff. The next Big Chicks will be played in January.

At TGIF the 100 board was won by Gladys Hughes. Lee Madsen was not at the club, so the attendance draw increases to R200 next week. Leonie Mills did not pick the right key for the box, so next week’s winning key will be worth R8,320. Members of the month were William Sithole and Talla Stephens-Viviers for all their hard work on the flood-damaged greens.

The Brad Cox tournament draw is on the board. Note the first three groups of round robin games will be played on Friday, 24 November, Wednesday, 29 November and Friday, 1 December, so check to see when you are playing. Thereafter the knock-out rounds will take place. Play starts at 5.30pm.

Birthday greetings are sent this week to Talla Stephens-Viviers, Debra Gueffroy and Dennie Denysschen. Good health and good bowling to all.
