Amanzimtoti’s racers revved
Nikolai, Anja and Jesse Conci together with Karl and Hein Etzel did Amanzimtoti proud at the Dezzi Raceway.
AMANZIMTOTI racers dominated the podiums after they raked in fantastic results at the ninth round of the KZN Road Racing Club Series, held at Dezzi Raceway on Saturday, 13 October.
Local bikers now look forward to the KZN Championships, where they are sure to continue their outstanding performance on the raceway.

“Nikolai Conci, racing for Winklespruit-based Helluvafast Motorcycles, cruised the racetrack on his Band-It Yamaha R6 to take home first place in the 600cc class. Hein Etzel of Winklespruit-based Argotek Engineering managed to cling on in the monster 1,000cc class to come back with a solid second place,” explained Carmen Conci.
She said a bigger fight took place in 300cc class between Toti racers, Nikolai Conci and Jesse Conci of Helluvafast Motorcycles, Hein Etzel and guest national woman rider Anja Conci. What started with brothers, Nikolai and Jesse fighting for the win, ended with a three-way toss between Hein, Nikolai and Jesse. The race finished with Hein claiming first place, Nikolai second, Jesse third, and Anja fourth.

“The Motards class also proved very eventful as brothers Hein and Karl Etzel battled away, keeping spectators on their toes throughout. After the 10-lap brawl it was Hein who managed to snatch the win while Karl took second place. Still the winning continues as Karl Etzel of Auto-Rust Control battled the masses in the CBR150cc class to come out on top and come home with his well deserved first place trophy,” she said.
Carmen added that championships are currently running extremely tight in all the classes.
The final battle of 2018 will take place at Dezzi Raceway on 10 November.
“It will be an event not to be missed, as racers from all over KZN compete in various classes to take home the final 2018 championship title. Our Toti riders are certainly racing up a storm and we look forward to their results,” she said.
