Local rugby star lights up youth IPT tour
Jaiden Laidlaw represented the KZN Sharks Duikers U18 team at the Lions Youth Rugby IPT Provincial Tour where he earned a spot in The Dream Team 2025.
KUSWAG Skool’s Grade 11 learner, Jaiden Laidlaw, continues to make impressive strides in his rugby career.
During the October school holidays, Jaiden proudly represented the KZN Sharks Duikers U18 team at the Lions Youth Rugby IPT Provincial Tour, held at Hoërskool Monument in Krugersdorp.

The tour brought together top provincial teams from across South Africa, including the Lions, Blue Bulls and Valke, offering a competitive platform for young players to showcase their skills.
Jaiden’s exceptional on-field performance, strong defensive play and tactical awareness quickly set him apart as one of the standout players of the tournament.
His consistent effort, leadership and determination earned him selection to The Dream Team 2025, a distinguished honour awarded to players who display outstanding rugby talent, sportsmanship and potential for future success.
Reflecting his dedication and growing reputation, Jaiden’s achievement is a source of pride for both Kuswag Skool, Toti Rugby Club and the KZN Sharks Rugby Union.
With his continued commitment and passion for the sport, Jaiden is on his way to becoming one of the promising young talents in South African rugby.
