Big win for Amanzimtoti Cricket Club Ladies side

The Amanzimtoti Cricket Club Ladies put on a show against their Reservoir Hills Sports Club counterparts, winning by 165 runs.

The Amanzimtoti Cricket Club (ACC) Ladies hosted the Reservoir Hills Crimson Sports Club (RHCSC) Ladies on January 19 for a 30 overs per innings match.

Club scribe, Peter Lonie, said that the ACC Ladies side batted first, and team captain, Danelle Pillay, led by example, steering her side to 209/3 in 30 overs.

“Danelle (66) was well supported by Megan Powell (54) and Peggy Niemann (21). Amanzimtoti’s women had little trouble in defending 209, bowling out RHCSC Ladies for 44 runs. Megan with 3/7 was the pick of the bowlers with Peggy Niemann bagging two wickets and Varetia Pillay and Iqra Khan claiming one wicket each,” said Lonie.

ACC’s Ladies claimed victory by a whopping 165 runs.
