Lifesavers selected for provincial team

An trio of sporty lifesavers excelled at the events leading up to the KZN Championships, where they will test their mettle against the KZN teams.

THREE dedicated lifesavers from the Warnadoone Surf Lifesaving Club have been selected for the 2025 KZN senior team following their excellent results during the surf training series events. They performed well in the Series 1 at the Durban Surf Club on November 24 last year and Series 3 at Pirates Club on January 26. The athletes shone brightly in swimming, boarding, skiing, sprint and flags, as well as iron man and iron woman events.

Public relations officer, Kerry Kyle, said that Tiffany Koch, Deirdre Bentley and Tiaan Lyon, recently competed in the KZN Championships on March 15 and 16, an invitational event for clubs.

“Congratulations to you all. Your strength, hard work and perseverance are inspirational to your fellow club members and community. We are so very proud of you and we can’t wait to see you in action,” said Kyle.
