Operating out of two vibrant centres at Gokul Primary School and Kamalinee Primary School every Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00, both fields come alive with energy, teamwork, and dreams, as children train under the guidance of a dedicated team of volunteer coaches and administrative staff.

The academy was the brainchild of the late Ronnie Vengan and other soccer stalwarts in Isipingo, whose passion for youth development and the beautiful game laid the foundation for what has become a thriving youth programme.

Chairperson of the academy, Minesha Ash Singh, said, “Our vision is not only to develop soccer skills, but also to teach discipline, teamwork, and confidence. The dreams of the academy’s founders live on through the smiles and goals of every child who pulls on an academy jersey.”

As the academy continues to grow, it is making a humble appeal to businesses and potential sponsors for assistance. “We are in urgent need of equipment, including balls, cones, bibs and training gear. Every little bit goes a long way in giving these children the tools they need to thrive,” said Singh, who encourages coaches with soccer expertise to help shape the next generation of local stars.
