At home, Toti United welcomed Senzokuhle FC Ladies, Escombe, Isicelo Sport Skills Development (ISSD) and Yellowwood Park. The Amanzimtoti-based club enjoyed a largely successful day, with only two of its teams suffering defeats across the 12 matches.

Coach Thando Nzama attributed the losses partly to the wet weather that was experienced during the past week, which reduced the number of training days available to the young players.

“These were some of the first losses for the respective teams since resuming the league. While the bad weather had an effect, this means we need to train hard and stick to our strategy,” said Nzama.

Toti United’s U8 side beat Yellowwood Park 3-2, while the U9s defeated TFSS 3-0. The U10s went down 6-1 to Flamingos and the U11s lost 4-0 to ISSD.

The U11 second team drew 4-4 with Westville, while the U12 first team beat Yellowwood Park 3-0. The U12 second team lost 4-0 to Riverside.

The U13 first team beat Westville 3-0 and the second team edged Riverside 2-1. The U15s drew 0-0 with Escombe, while the U17s lost 1-0 to Dube.

Toti United’s girls finished the day strongly with a 2-0 victory over Senzokuhle.
