Galleria Mall Challenge draws scores of runners [Pics]

Tickets for the popular Galleria Mall Challenge sold out weeks before the official cutoff time.

ALMOST 2 000 eager runners, young and old, took part in the popular Galleria Mall Challenge in Athlone Park on March 15, which brought together a mix of seasoned and recreational runners.

Divided into 5km, 10km, and 21.1km fields, the annual event has become a favourite in the running community, with participants coming from various areas in and outside the province. As a testament to its popularity, tickets sold out weeks before the deadline.

Women: Gerda Schenck – 00:21:29

10km
Men: Lindokuhle Zakhele Chiliza – 00:32:00
Women: Joyce Ndlovu – 00:52:15

21.1km
Men: Lungani Phahla – 00:59:07
Women: Nokuthula Ntshangase – 01:29:08
