Dirk Smit, chairperson of AYC, expressed disbelief at how quickly the season came and went.

“Time flies when you’re having fun and surrounded by such an incredible rugby family. A huge thank you to all our coaches, managers, committee members, and volunteers for your hard work, your sacrifices, and the hours you gave up away from your families. Your dedication has shaped this season and made a tremendous difference in the lives of our young players. To all the children who participated, thank you. It has been a privilege to watch you grow, not only as rugby players but as confident, spirited individuals,” said a proud Smit.

He expressed gratitude as well to parents of the minis for their dedication, cheers and for being the backbone of the youth rugby community.

Smit added that the club will soon share the date and details for its fun day. He hopes to see everyone there as the club celebrates the season together as one big Amanzimtoti family.
