See the stars in guided night walk

Astrologists will set up telescopes to view the night skies.

KENNETH Stainbank Nature Reserve’s three hour, eight kilometre guided walk on Saturday, 26 October was blessed with warm, sunny conditions.

The walkers, guided by Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife honorary officers, had plenty of rest stops, where they enjoyed many sightings of zebra, and even a newborn zebra foal.

The river view site was a real blessing at the halfway mark, with many walkers removing their shoes for a refreshing cool-off.

The next guided walk will be a bring and braai on Friday, 1 November.

Enter the reserve gate before 6pm, as the gates close at that time and no late entry will be allowed.

The cost of the walk is R30 for adults and R10 for scholars over eight-years-old. U8s gain free entrance.

Astrologists will set up telescopes to view the night skies. There will be a short, guided night walk at 6.30pm.

Braai fires will be lit at 6pm. Take your own chairs and torches.
