The project was spearheaded by the imaginative prefects as a way to encourage reading, creativity and teamwork among their fellow learners.
After planning out the storyline, they carefully designed colourful posters and illustrations before confidently showcasing their work to the school.
“The story focuses on a playful little dog that accidentally gets its head stuck inside a jar, leading to a whimsical, heart-warming adventure as everyone pitches in and tries to help. Through their storytelling, the learners shared important messages about kindness, teamwork, problem-solving, and caring for animals,” said Orient Primary teacher Michelle Luke.
Their creativity and effort brought smiles to many faces and created a wonderful atmosphere throughout the school’s World Book Day celebrations.
“World Book Day at Orient Hills Primary School was more than just a celebration of reading. It was a reminder that stories can bring people together, inspire creativity, and give young learners the confidence to express themselves in meaningful ways,” concluded Luke.
