International guest to host floral extravaganza

Malcolm Edwin Kitt from Cobh, County Cork, Ireland to present a ‘floral extravaganza’ for the stage presentation

FLORAL Art Club Durban is going international on Tuesday, 27 August, as it hosts Malcolm Edwin Kitt from Cobh, County Cork, Ireland to present a ‘floral extravaganza’ for the stage presentation.

The Floral Art Club meets at the Westville Civic Centre and the meeting starts at 9.15am sharp.

Malcolm left SA in 2000 to take up the position of head gardener for Sir and Lady Pilkington in England. While there he competed in the World Flower Show in Scotland in 2002 and at the Chelsea Flower Show a number of times.

He also participated in the Flower Festival in San Francisco, California.

After moving to Ireland, Malcolm has held the position of interior landscape manager for Floral Décor Elegance Florist and wholesale supplier in Cork.

Malcolm is a popular demonstrator in England, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Tea will be served mid-morning and the floral art competition will be on display after tea. The show will start immediately after prizegiving and will end at noon.
